Naomi Craker

Clinical Psychologist

Naomi is a Clinical Psychologist who has experience working with individuals in private practice, community mental health, and crisis services providing psychotherapy and support to adults.

Naomi provides therapy for individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma related disorders and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders. Additionally, Naomi has special interest in supporting people with challenges related to emotional regulation, identity issues, adjustment to change and life transitions, and managing life stresses.

Naomi believes that the therapeutic space is most effective when it is a collaborative, non-judgemental, and supportive place for a person to safely express themselves and be heard. Naomi works from an integrated Psychodynamic-cognitive perspective, which means she focuses on establishing a respectful working relationship with clients, takes an active interest in the individual’s life history and lived experience – to work collaboratively towards symptom relief and resolutions of problematic patterns.

Naomi uses a range of evidence based therapies including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (ST), Mindfulness and Self Compassion.

Bachelor of Social Sciences(Psychology)

Graduate Diploma of Psychology
