Teresa Perri

Psychologist

Teresa is a registered psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience working with a wide range of age groups. Her current focus is with adults over 18 years of age and with couples. Teresa’s primary field of work is in the area of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, attachment disorders and life related stress.

She holds a Masters in Educational Psychology from Melbourne University and many other certificates in therapeutic approaches. Teresa’s work is evidence-based and client centered; focusing on mind/body connection in a holistic way.

She uses a variety of psychological, social and neurophysiological interventions to address the issues presented. The main models and frameworks she bases her work on are: IFS (Internal Family Systems), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Polyvagal theory and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy).

Teresa is known for her compassionate and empathetic approach, creating a safe and nurturing environment for her clients. She believes in empowering individuals by helping them to build resilience and develop practical coping strategies tailored to their unique needs. She offers individual therapy and coupes therapy / marriage counselling.
